Soneri Bank is inviting applications for the position of Trade Officer within the Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG) at the Lahore location. Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Requirement: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a relevant field, particularly in trade finance.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Trade Officer at Soneri Bank, you will be responsible for a range of critical functions within trade operations, including:
- Letter of Credit (LC) Management: Handling the establishment of LCs, lodgment, and retirement of documents, as well as managing outward and inward commercial remittances.
- Document Preparation: Preparing and submitting necessary documents like withholding tax challans, Export Development Surcharge for SBP, and various certificates, including proceed realization certificates for clients.
- Client Transactions: Ensuring efficient processing of client transactions while adhering to compliance norms as outlined in the trade manual.
- Record Keeping: Coordinating the maintenance of exporters’ and importers’ financial records.
- Financial Document Processing: Managing and maintaining records for FDBC, FBP, FAPC, FIM, FATR, and FLATR. This includes advising on LCs and amendments, processing Duty Drawback and R&D cases, and reconciling markups.
- Compliance and Reporting: Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports, ensuring compliance with the bank’s internal policies and SBP Foreign Exchange Manuals, and minimizing audit objections.
