Position Title: Senior Manager Finance & Accounts

Position Criteria:

  • Qualification: Member of a recognized body of professional accountants (ACMA, ACCA, CA, etc.), preferably CA, or MBA/M.Com/Masters degree in other fields of Finance & Accounts.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 08 years – CA/ACCA/ACMA
    • Minimum 12 years – MBA/M.Com/Masters degree in other fields of Finance & Accounts and experience in a similar role
    • 16 years of education in a relevant field.

Job Responsibilities:

As the Senior Manager Finance & Accounts, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice to the Director Engineers on all aspects of Finance and Accounts related matters.
  • Ensuring compliance with organization finance policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Preparation and consolidation of NLC Engineers’ annual budget and variance analysis of the budget on a quarterly basis.
  • Preparation and consolidation of NLC Engineers’ Profitability and analysis of all projects on a monthly basis for higher management.
  • Quarterly analysis of revisions in profit estimates and ensuring required adjustments are recorded in ERP Oracle (R12).
  • Financial Reporting of the Engineering Segment as per IFRS/IAS and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Daily/Weekly & Monthly Monitoring of Engineers’ receivables/Slippage of all Project Directorate HQ/HQ Engineers for higher management.
  • Ensuring timely conduct of External, Commercial, and Internal audits of NLC Engineers.
  • Attending Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and Departmental Accounts Committee (DAC) meetings as and when required as a supporting officer.
  • Issuing directives of PAC/DAC meetings to all concerned as per given instructions.
  • Finance monitoring/specific audit of projects, on the instructions of Director Engineers.
  • Coordinating and facilitating Project Directors (PDs) in the early clearance of IPCs & payments from the client.
  • Processing cases for the extension/approval of insurance (all types) of projects as per the client’s demand.
  • Supervising all bank accounts of HQ Engineers, ensuring recording of entries in cash books on a monthly basis.
  • Maintenance of Revolving Fund A/C for smooth fund flow to projects against cash requisitions.
  • Maintenance of Work Imprest A/C for smooth fund flow to meet administrative expenses of HQ Engineers.
  • Reconciliation of PL-1 Account of all Project Directors and project accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Ensuring payments to suppliers, employees, and utilities through crossed cheques after pre-audit by an authorized person.
  • Reconciliation of cheques after ensuring adequacy/availability of funds.
  • Ensuring the entry of payment, receipt, and journal vouchers in Oracle ERP for the preparation of trial balance and financial statements according to applicable accounting standards and reporting framework.
  • Reconciliation of Inter-company accounts with HQ NLC in Oracle ERP on a monthly basis.
  • Reconciliation of Intra-company accounts with ongoing projects of HQ Engineers in Oracle ERP on a monthly basis.
  • Checking Debit/Credit notes issued to HQ Engineers and updating entries in Oracle ERP.
  • Ensuring the accurate record of Earnest Money/Enlistment Fee from contractors/suppliers is maintained.
