Dr. Ziauddin Hospital, a leading healthcare provider, is hiring a Network Administrator to join their IT team. The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing and overseeing the hospital’s computer system and network infrastructure to ensure smooth operations and security.
Job Summary:
As a Network Administrator, your role will involve overseeing the organization’s computer system or database network, ensuring proper maintenance, and providing timely updates and troubleshooting support. You will collaborate with other IT staff and employees to identify network or system needs, install new hardware or software, and resolve issues based on employee feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network and Server Support: Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade corporate networks and in-house servers.
- Hardware and Software Installation: Oversee the installation and integration of new server hardware and applications to meet operational requirements.
- Third-Party Application Support: Support and administer third-party applications ensuring smooth performance.
- Monitoring: Regularly monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, latency) and test for weaknesses or potential issues.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruptions in hospital operations.
- Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform any other tasks assigned by the Head of Department (HOD) or Manager.
Knowledge & Competencies:
- Software Applications: Familiarity with all software applications used within the organization.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Best Practices in Server Infrastructure: Excellent understanding of server infrastructure management, control, and monitoring.
- Multitasking Skills: Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Backup and Recovery: Knowledge of backup and recovery software and methodologies to ensure data protection.
Requirements:
- Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Work Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in network administration.
- Skills: Strong technical skills with experience in managing network infrastructure and ensuring optimal system performance.
