Dr. Ziauddin Hospital, established in 1957, is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to join their team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and upgrading the hospital’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and continuity of IT operations.

Job Summary:

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing IT infrastructure projects, such as domain migration, server upgrades, endpoint protection, and disaster recovery solutions. Your primary objective will be to ensure the stability and security of both the hospital and university’s IT systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the operational continuity and compliance with the organization’s IT policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server Management: Configure and maintain servers (Windows, Linux, ESXi) to ensure optimal performance and smooth operations.
• Endpoint Protection: Implement and monitor endpoint protection solutions across all virtual machines (VMs).
• System Health Monitoring: Conduct regular system health checks, resolve alerts (e.g., Zabbix, endpoint security), and perform troubleshooting as needed.
• Disaster Recovery (DR) Solutions: Support disaster recovery drills, ensuring VM replication and DNS name configuration.
• Cost Estimation & Planning: Provide cost estimates for server upgrades and system solutions.
• Domain Migration: Lead domain migration and vCenter deployment to centralize system management.
• Documentation: Document server configurations, user ID migrations, and disaster recovery procedures for future reference.

Knowledge & Competences:

• Advanced knowledge in Windows and Linux server administration.
• Proficiency in endpoint protection tools (e.g., EDR) and backup solutions.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., DHCP, DNS, SMTP) and security policies.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and provide user training.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues under time constraints.

Requirements:

• Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in IT (4 years).
• Work Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in IT systems engineering.
