Key Responsibilities:
As a Billing Officer, you will:
- Billing Process: Receive discharge patient files from relevant wards, resolve any queries from the concerned departments, and prepare the final bill with all details.
- Operational Knowledge: Possess specific operational knowledge of the assigned billing responsibilities.
- Process Adherence: Follow key processes and procedures to complete billing tasks with quality standards.
- Use of IT Systems: Be competent in using the hospital’s IT structure and processes that support billing tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to deliver efficient and effective billing services to all customers.
- Impact on Cash Flow: Understand how billing responsibilities affect hospital cash flow and ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Shift Handover: Ensure smooth handover of billing files to the next shift.
- Training: Train junior staff on organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Academic Qualification: A Graduate or Intermediate with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Qualification: A 1-year diploma in computer science.
- Work Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a reputable hospital or hotel.
Knowledge & Competencies:
- Customer Service Excellence: Strong ability to provide high-quality customer service.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve issues and ensure smooth billing processes.
- Knowledge of Hospital Policies: Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures.
- Time Management: Efficient work and time management skills.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
