📌 Position Overview

Role Title: Head of Planning & Design
Location: Dr. Ziauddin Hospital, Head Office, North Nazimabad Campus
Position Type: Full-Time

As the Head of Planning & Design, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all civil, architectural, and construction planning activities related to the hospital’s infrastructure development, renovation, and maintenance projects. You will work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure the timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance of all construction projects while maintaining high-quality standards.

🎓 Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Academic Qualification:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture from a recognized university.
• Professional Qualification:
  • Relevant project management certification is preferred.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of professional experience in design, planning, and civil construction.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in a hospital, healthcare, or large infrastructure project.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Planning & Design, your main responsibilities will include:

• Leading strategic planning and execution of all infrastructure and architectural projects, ensuring they meet hospital requirements.
• Overseeing the design development, space planning, structural assessments, and layout finalization.
• Managing the project lifecycle from concept to commissioning, including feasibility studies, cost estimates, budgeting, timelines, and quality control.
• Coordinating with architects, civil engineers, consultants, and contractors to deliver projects efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensuring compliance with hospital standards, health & safety codes, building regulations, and sustainability practices.
• Reviewing architectural drawings, civil layouts, and construction schedules to ensure quality and timely execution.
• Conducting risk assessments and proposing effective mitigation strategies.
• Managing internal team performance and external vendors to maintain design integrity and project timelines.
• Maintaining updated records of blueprints, approvals, contracts, and progress reports.
