Position: Production Merchandiser
Job Responsibilities & Skills:
As a Production Merchandiser at Beechtree, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
- Product Costing: Proficiency in product costing methodologies to ensure competitive pricing strategies.
- Product Development & Sampling: Ability to oversee the product development process from conception to sampling, ensuring quality and adherence to brand standards.
- Retail Accessories Knowledge: Familiarity with retail accessories and established contacts with vendors in the local market to source the best products.
- Interpersonal & Follow-Up Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with vendors and follow up on orders and deliveries.
- Sourcing and Negotiation: Engage in sourcing and negotiation activities with suppliers and vendors to secure the best quality products at competitive prices.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Graduation degree required.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in the retail sector, preferably in merchandising roles.
- Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
