About the Position:
As a Network Administrator, you’ll be entrusted with critical responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the company’s computer systems and network infrastructure. Here’s a glimpse of what the role entails:
- Maintenance and Configuration: You’ll be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and configuration of computer systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively to meet the company’s needs.
- Server Management: Your duties will include maintaining servers, performing upgrades, and implementing secure system backups to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.
- Network Security: You’ll play a pivotal role in managing network security, both at the LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) levels, implementing measures to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Infrastructure Management: From switches and firewalls to access points and beyond, you’ll oversee the management of network infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Qualifications and Requirements:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Education: A degree in Computer Science (BCS) or related field, or a Master’s in Computer Science (MCS), provides the foundation needed for this role.
- Experience: While not mandatory, preferred experience includes 3-5 years in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or Cyber Security roles, demonstrating expertise in network administration and security practices.
