Job Description
As the Manager Procurement – Imports, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end procurement process for imports.
- Developing and maintaining vendor relationships, both locally and internationally.
- Negotiating rates and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Planning procurement activities on annual, quarterly, and monthly basis.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you must have:
- A Master’s degree or 16 years of education, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering).
- 5-8 years of procurement experience, ideally in the manufacturing industry.
Skills & Competencies
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Excellent knowledge of the end-to-end procurement process.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in rate comparison management.
- Understanding of international and local markets, general parts, and direct materials.
- Proficiency in imports procedures and documentation.
- Strong communication skills in both Urdu and English, verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
