Position Overview: As a Manager in the Credit Initiation Unit, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the quality and compliance of credit initiation processes. Reporting to higher management, you will play a pivotal role in assessing credit applications, ensuring adherence to consumer prudential regulations, and safeguarding the bank’s interests.

Qualifications and Experience: To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized institute.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in credit risk management.

Main Responsibilities: As a Manager in the Credit Initiation Unit, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting independent credit risk reviews of all credit applications for consumer finance products, including autos, housing, and personal finance.
  • Ensuring compliance with consumer product programs and credit policies, stipulating approval covenants/conditions to safeguard the bank’s interests.
  • Obtaining approvals from relevant credit approving authorities and managing deviations/exceptions as necessary.
  • Updating consumer credit policy and product programs in collaboration with the Head of Consumer Credit.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of collection and recovery processes, as well as documentation/security perfection roles in consumer goods.

Core Competencies: Successful candidates should possess the following core competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (experience with Power BI will be preferred).
