Job Summary:
The IT Support Assistant will assist the IT team in maintaining the physical setup, cleanliness, and organization of IT systems across all hospital locations. This role involves tasks like cable management, hardware maintenance, asset management, and supporting IT staff during preventive maintenance activities. The IT Support Assistant will ensure that the hospital’s IT infrastructure is organized, clean, and optimized for daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cable Management: Assist in dressing cables and organizing IT hardware in desks, server rooms, and other work areas.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform basic cleaning tasks such as dusting, lowering, and general cleaning of IT equipment.
- Asset Management: Support the IT team with the attachment and detachment of IT assets during installations, relocations, or replacements.
- Preventive Maintenance: Actively participate in preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and operational readiness of hardware.
- IT Environment Organization: Contribute to maintaining a neat, organized, and efficient IT environment to support long-term hardware reliability.
Knowledge and Competencies:
- Familiarity with desktop computers, monitors, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Ability to handle IT equipment safely, perform basic cleaning, and assist in system setup.
- Ability to organize cables neatly in workspaces, server racks, and under desks.
- Strong coordination and communication skills to work effectively with other team members.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Academic Qualification: High School Certificate / Matriculation
- Professional Qualification: Diploma in Information Technology
- Work Experience: 1 Year of relevant experience preferred, but fresh candidates are also welcome to apply.
