Soneri Bank is seeking a skilled and proactive Incident Response Specialist to join our Information Security Department in Karachi. Position Details:
- Department: Information Security
- Position Title: Incident Response Specialist
- Qualification:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Security certifications such as Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) will be preferred.
- Proficiency in incident response tools and techniques including SIEM platforms, WAF, XDR/EDR, forensic tools, and malware analysis.
- Experience:
- At least 1-3 years of experience with a focus on incident response and forensics.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Incident Response Specialist at Soneri Bank, your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively monitoring systems and networks for security incidents.
- Analyzing security events to identify potential threats and assess their impact.
- Leading and coordinating response efforts in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Developing and executing incident response playbooks to mitigate security breaches and minimize downtime.
- Conducting forensic analysis to determine the root cause of security events.
- Collecting and analyzing digital evidence to support investigations.
- Implementing corrective actions to address security vulnerabilities and prevent future incidents.
- Leveraging threat intelligence sources to enhance incident detection and response.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of security incidents, including timelines, findings, and remediation actions.
- Preparing incident response reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
