Job Overview: As the General Manager of Production at Utopia Industries, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our Terry/Towel & Knits Cut, Make, and Trim operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the highest quality, efficiency, and productivity in our production processes.
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee responsibilities including loom planning, space planning, reconciliation, QC, IE, costing, raw material, and supply chain planning.
- Develop and execute production strategies, optimizing processes and schedules to meet production targets.
- Maintain and enhance quality standards, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvements to enhance the customer experience.
- Lead and mentor teams, fostering teamwork and accountability at all levels.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop production performance matrices and implement measures for improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; an MBA degree with an engineering background is a plus.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar production leadership role in the textile industry, with a focus on Terry/Towel & Knits cut-to-pack production.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding production targets.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety & compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Analytical mindset and the ability to use data for decision-making.
