  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in assurance, risk & governance, and experience in accounting, reporting, compliance, and risk management.

Overall Responsibilities: As Deputy Manager Governance, Risk & Control, you will have the following key responsibilities:

  1. Standardize ERM Framework: Ensure the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework is standardized across all Engro Corporation subsidiaries and business units. Develop and implement a common risk management methodology and tools to ensure consistency in risk management standards.
  2. Risk Management Policies: Timely development and maintenance of risk management policies and procedures that align with Engro Corporation’s business strategy and objectives.
  3. Internal Control Framework: Safeguard the internal control framework to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in Pakistan and protect Engro Corporation’s assets. Regularly review and update the internal control framework, and ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate risks.
  4. Risk Appetite Methodology: Assist in developing a methodology for establishing and maintaining risk appetite that aligns with Engro Corporation’s business strategy and objectives. This involves collaborating with senior management and other stakeholders to identify and assess risks and establish risk tolerance levels.
  5. Risk Assessments: Provide oversight of risk assessments on operational and IT processes and ensure that risk mitigation plans are in place and effective. Collaborate with business units and subsidiaries to identify and assess risks and develop risk mitigation plans to reduce the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
  6. Risk Register: Manage a consolidated group-wide risk register to provide visibility and transparency on key risks and control issues across the company.
