Job Opportunity: Deputy Manager – Accounts at Engro Energy Limited

Engro Energy Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team at the Head Office. If you’re looking for a new challenge and have a strong background in accounting, auditing, and management reporting, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Position: Deputy Manager – Accounts

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, auditing, and management reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to provide strategic guidance to senior management.
  • Strong financial acumen and expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and vendor payment management.
  • Proven track record of maintaining accurate and timely tax returns, declarations, and other financial reports.
  • Experience in selecting, overseeing, and maintaining relationships with external consultants and advisors such as tax advisors and accounting firms.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide, evaluate, and develop a team of financial professionals.
  • Ethical approach to conducting accounting activities in accordance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards.

Overall Responsibilities: As the Deputy Manager – Accounts, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising senior management on the potential impact of current and upcoming tax laws and regulations on the organization’s operations.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to functional managers, assisting them in developing and monitoring department budgets, understanding financial reports, and managing financial responsibilities effectively.
  • Preparing comprehensive financial reports and presenting insightful findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely submission of all tax returns, declarations, and required financial reports.
  • Managing the release of payments to vendors within stipulated timelines to maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Selecting, managing, and fostering positive relationships with external consultants and advisors, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Leading, directing, evaluating, and developing the financial team to ensure accurate and ethical accounting practices in line with regulations and standards.
