Position: Deputy Manager – Accounts
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, auditing, and management reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to provide strategic guidance to senior management.
- Strong financial acumen and expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and vendor payment management.
- Proven track record of maintaining accurate and timely tax returns, declarations, and other financial reports.
- Experience in selecting, overseeing, and maintaining relationships with external consultants and advisors such as tax advisors and accounting firms.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide, evaluate, and develop a team of financial professionals.
- Ethical approach to conducting accounting activities in accordance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
Overall Responsibilities: As the Deputy Manager – Accounts, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising senior management on the potential impact of current and upcoming tax laws and regulations on the organization’s operations.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to functional managers, assisting them in developing and monitoring department budgets, understanding financial reports, and managing financial responsibilities effectively.
- Preparing comprehensive financial reports and presenting insightful findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely submission of all tax returns, declarations, and required financial reports.
- Managing the release of payments to vendors within stipulated timelines to maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Selecting, managing, and fostering positive relationships with external consultants and advisors, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Leading, directing, evaluating, and developing the financial team to ensure accurate and ethical accounting practices in line with regulations and standards.
