Job Overview:
The Deputy General Manager – Quality & Lean will be responsible for driving continuous improvement across the company’s operations. This leadership role requires the individual to focus on optimizing processes to increase efficiency, ensure quality, and enhance customer satisfaction.
You will be at the forefront of quality management, dealing with dealer concerns, driving improvements in production capabilities, and managing resources effectively. You will oversee the company’s testing lab, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement best practices in quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & Implement Quality Enhancement Plan:
- Establish a comprehensive strategy to drive quality improvements throughout the company.
- Monitor & Analyze Quality Metrics:
- Track performance indicators to identify areas for process improvement and ensure industry compliance.
- Dealer Issue Resolution:
- Act as the main contact for resolving issues related to product quality, delivery, and service.
- OPEX Management:
- Efficiently allocate resources to meet operational goals, while managing the OPEX budgets.
- Capacity Planning & Demand Forecasting:
- Plan production capacities to meet future demand and ensure smooth operations.
- Cost Reduction & Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance profitability through process optimization.
- Testing Lab Oversight:
- Ensure accurate and timely product testing, and implement new testing technologies to improve lab performance.
- Data Digitization & Dashboard Creation:
- Develop dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance.
- Materials Monitoring:
- Monitor RM, WIP, and FG Dead Stock, addressing slow-moving materials and coordinating with regional teams for timely resolution.
- Scrap Management:
- Work closely with the Scrap Management and Disposal Committee to ensure efficient disposal of materials.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in TQM (Total Quality Management), Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 10-13 years of relevant experience in quality and lean operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Skills Required:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with process improvement techniques.
- Ability to manage budgets and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
