Job Description
As an Assistant Manager Engineering, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing maintenance schedules and ensuring they meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Overseeing preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Managing utilities and maintenance operations to reduce cross-functional losses.
- Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards for a safe and efficient facility.
- Managing daily activities of the mechanical department, including scheduling work tasks, directing crews, and inventory management.
Core Competencies
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Sound leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
- Proficiency in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) for problem-solving and issue resolution.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze situations and make informed decisions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
- Good understanding of electrical control systems.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E Mechanical) or equivalent.
- 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in maintenance management and engineering operations.

This position is based in Muridke.
