Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited is seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager – Credit Risk to join our dynamic team in Karachi. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the bank’s risk management strategy and regulatory compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an HEC-recognized institute (preferably ACCA/MBA).
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Main Responsibilities:
As Assistant Manager – Credit Risk, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining Corporate, SME, Consumer, Agri-ORR, PD, LGD, & CCF models, along with consumer behavioral models and related Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Providing support to business users on Credit Lens Modules and preparing Expected Credit Loss (ECL) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) for the bank.
- Reporting real estate exposure to ABG and maintaining customers’ financial information and ratios for regulatory and internal reporting.
- Preparing Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Dashboard for credit risk.
- Ensuring strict compliance with bank policies, processes, and regulatory requirements, including coordination for internal and external audits and inspections by regulatory bodies.
- Upholding office discipline, attendance, leave policies, dress code, and ethical standards in line with HR policies.
- Undertaking additional duties as required by the bank.
Core Competencies:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of statistical and behavioral models.
- Familiarity with State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) Prudential Regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Comprehensive understanding of banking systems, policies, procedures, and products.
