Key Responsibilities:
As the Deputy Manager – Fabric Procurement, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the fabric procurement process. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with fabric suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all fabric procurement meets quality standards and specifications.
- Cost Control: Optimize procurement processes to achieve cost-efficiency and contribute to cost control initiatives.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage fabric inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production while minimizing excess.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and availability of fabrics, and make informed procurement decisions.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the fabric procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or a related field.
- 8 – 10 years of relevant experience in fabric procurement within the textile industry.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
