Job Opportunity: Assistant Quality Manager – Clinical Lab at Dr. Ziauddin Hospital

Dr. Ziauddin Hospital is hiring for the position of Assistant Quality Manager – Clinical Lab. This is a vital role responsible for ensuring that the clinical laboratory adheres to all quality assurance standards and regulatory guidelines, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 15189, Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC), and College of American Pathologists (CAP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the quality management system (QMS) of the laboratory, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor compliance with quality policies and procedures in accordance with international standards (ISO, CAP, SHCC).
- Conduct periodic reviews of the quality assurance and training activities, making recommendations for improvements to the laboratory’s management.
- Analyze and interpret data related to quality control and assurance, preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure that the quality management system functions correctly by managing and maintaining quality monitoring systems.
- Assist with the establishment and documentation of quality objectives and formulate plans to achieve these objectives.
- Maintain and review quality manuals for the clinical laboratories.
- Monitor and assess risk management activities within the laboratory.
- Identify and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
- Report to laboratory management regarding the performance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and areas requiring improvements.
Requirements:
- Academic/Professional Qualification: M.Phil. / MS / BS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences / Allied Health Sciences. An MBA in Healthcare Management is an added advantage.
- Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role after post-graduation.
- Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work collaboratively with laboratory staff, management, and external stakeholders.
