Dr. Ziauddin Hospital, one of the leading healthcare institutions, is seeking an Architect – Civil & Architecture to join their team. This key position requires a talented and experienced individual responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and renovation of hospital facilities. The role demands ensuring that designs meet all necessary hospital standards, safety regulations, and sustainable practices.
Job Overview:
As an Architect at Dr. Ziauddin Hospital, you will be involved in designing and constructing healthcare facilities that prioritize safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. This role will require you to oversee every aspect of the project lifecycle, from planning to implementation, while ensuring that all designs comply with hospital regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Creation: Prepare detailed architectural designs, layouts, and working drawings for hospital buildings and facilities.
- Coordination: Work closely with civil engineers, interior designers, contractors, and other professionals throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all designs meet safety standards, regulatory codes, and hospital-specific requirements.
- Site Surveys & Feasibility Studies: Conduct site surveys, technical assessments, and feasibility studies for new and existing hospital facilities.
- Documentation: Prepare documents for planning approvals, tenders, and regulatory compliance.
- Sustainable Design Solutions: Implement sustainable and energy-efficient design practices where applicable.
- Construction Monitoring: Oversee construction activities to ensure that work aligns with architectural design specifications.
Knowledge and Competencies:
- Specialized Knowledge: In-depth understanding of hospital architecture and functional planning.
- Civil Engineering Knowledge: Familiarity with civil engineering basics and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination.
- Creative and Detail-Oriented: Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.
- Sustainability Awareness: Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient building practices.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other related tools.
- Collaboration: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Requirements:
- Academic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized institution; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in hospital or institutional projects.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience working in a team-oriented environment.
