MG Motors, a leading player in the automotive industry, is looking for a Senior Manager – Manufacturing Department (Production Engineering) to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with experience in the automotive OEM sector, particularly in new projects related to passenger vehicles.
Position Overview:
The Senior Manager – Manufacturing will be responsible for overseeing production engineering activities, focusing on the successful execution of manufacturing projects in line with organizational objectives. This role is crucial for driving the efficiency and success of the manufacturing department, ensuring that all production processes meet the company’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Define project objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with the company’s goals.
- Budget & Resource Allocation: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation to meet deadlines and efficiency targets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, engineers, contractors, and vendors to define project scope and requirements.
- Task Organization: Establish a work breakdown structure to effectively organize and manage project tasks, ensuring streamlined execution.
- Quality and Efficiency: Maintain high standards of quality while ensuring that production processes are carried out efficiently and cost-effectively.
Required Skills:
- Project Management Tools: Knowledge of tools like Microsoft Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD is essential.
- Leadership & Problem Solving: Strong leadership skills with the ability to solve complex problems, manage teams, and maintain effective communication.
- Negotiation Skills: The ability to negotiate with stakeholders, vendors, and other key parties.
- Additional Qualifications: PMP certification will be considered an additional advantage.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in OEM passenger vehicle manufacturing, with a focus on new projects.
- Education: BS/Masters in Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
