Engro Corporation, a leading conglomerate with diverse business interests, is looking for a highly skilled Manager – Corporate Audit to join their team in Karachi. This position plays a critical role in managing internal audit activities across Engro Corporation, ensuring strong internal controls, compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall corporate governance framework.
Role Overview:
The Manager – Corporate Audit will be responsible for executing audit plans, overseeing risk management and compliance, and providing key support for whistleblower programs and ethics monitoring. The role will also involve assisting the Chief Internal Auditor in reporting to the Board Audit Committee (BARC) and ensuring that audit standards are consistently applied across Engro’s subsidiaries. In addition, this position will require secretarial support for BARC/BOD meetings and the alignment of audit processes within the corporation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal Audit Execution: Lead the execution of audit plans to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and regulatory compliance across the organization.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Oversee risk and compliance audits and ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
- Board Reporting: Assist the Chief Internal Auditor in preparing reports for the Board Audit Committee (BARC), highlighting key audit findings, risks, and compliance issues.
- Whistleblower and Ethics Programs: Support and manage the organization’s whistleblower and ethics programs, ensuring effective handling of any concerns raised.
- Secretarial Support: Provide secretarial assistance to the BARC/BOD meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and action follow-ups.
- Audit Alignment: Align audit standards and processes across all subsidiaries of Engro Corporation to ensure consistency and quality of audits.
Key Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience in internal audit, risk management, and regulatory compliance with at least 5-7 years of experience in the field.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, corporate governance, and audit frameworks.
- Experience working with Board Audit Committees and leading audit teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to assess risks, manage compliance, and implement audit strategies across a large corporation.
