Job Overview:

As a Manager/DM Civil Engineering, you will be responsible for reviewing and validating architectural and structural designs, coordinating with consultants, overseeing on-site construction activities, and ensuring that all projects adhere to the highest industry standards. You will also manage project budgets, materials, and schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Documentation Review:
  Review and validate architectural, structural designs, drawings, and technical specifications for construction projects. Ensure compliance with the approved designs and technical standards.
• Coordination with Consultants:
  Coordinate with consultants for the preparation and approval of design and construction documents, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
• Construction Oversight:
  Monitor daily site activities to ensure that work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications. Ensure that all activities align with safety and quality standards.
• Team Supervision:
  Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site engineers for quality control, progress monitoring, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Method Statements & Scheduling:
  Review method statements, construction schedules (using MS Project/Primavera), and progress reports to ensure projects are on track.
• Compliance with Standards:
  Ensure compliance with PEC standards and international codes (ACI, ASTM, BS) in materials and methods. Implement site quality control plans and conduct regular inspections and testing.
• Cost and Material Tracking:
  Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents. Track material usage, manpower deployment, and project costs. Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for timely deliveries and payments.
• Project Documentation:
  Prepare progress reports, variation claims, and milestone certifications. Participate in project review meetings, providing technical input and updates.

Education & Experience Required:

• Education:
  • BSc. Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
  • MSc. Civil Engineering (Preferred)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in the FMCG industry or a similar construction-related field.
  • Proven expertise in managing and executing construction projects.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in construction management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Familiarity with AI tools is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of engineering codes, standards, and industry best practices.
