Position Overview
As a Warehouse-In-Charge, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including the receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods. This role ensures the accuracy of inventory and stock levels, coordinates with various teams, and enforces safety protocols. You’ll also lead a team of warehouse staff, aiming to improve their performance and ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Warehouse Operations: Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatching of goods.
- Inventory Management: Ensure inventory accuracy and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Coordination: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Staff Leadership: Lead and train warehouse staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to operational guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: A proven track record with 3-4 years of experience in warehouse or supply chain management, preferably in the food or FMCG sector.
- Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage warehouse operations and staff effectively.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety and inventory management best practices.
