Key Accountabilities:
As a Trainee Engineer in the Responsible Packaging division, you will play a pivotal role in various projects under the guidance of the Manager Sheeting/Conversion Corrugated Packaging. Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Involvement: Working on both electrical and mechanical projects as directed by the manager, contributing to the enhancement of packaging processes and technologies.
- Performance Analysis: Analyzing production metrics such as waste, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), and downtime reports to identify areas for improvement and operational excellence.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality of products by providing instructions to machine supervisors and operators, and taking necessary actions to maintain high standards.
- Training and Development: Conducting training sessions for machine crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge as required.
- Safety and Compliance: Participating in incident investigations, risk assessments, and aspect/impact studies to promote a safe and sustainable working environment.
- Operational Excellence: Contributing to the implementation of operational excellence initiatives such as World Class Manufacturing (WCM) to optimize processes and drive efficiency.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors:
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following attributes:
- Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience, providing a strong foundation for understanding packaging technologies and processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
- Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead and inspire teams towards achieving common goals.
