Platinum Pharmaceuticals (Pvt.) Ltd., a leading pharmaceutical company in Karachi, Pakistan, is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Procurement Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize the procurement process and achieve cost savings.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish supplier relationships based on quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and finance, to forecast procurement needs and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct periodic evaluations, and address any issues or concerns to ensure consistent quality and on-time delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Analyze market trends and pricing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement appropriate strategies.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Manage inventory levels, coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams, and ensure optimal stock levels to meet production requirements.

Requirements:

• MBA or equivalent degree in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, best practices, and supplier management.
• Prior experience in procurement, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and address procurement challenges.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and systems for efficient procurement operations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ethical and professional conduct, adhering to high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
