Are you an experienced professional with a keen eye for identifying and mitigating operational risks? Al Baraka invites talented individuals to join our team as Operational Risk Analysts at our Karachi Head Office. As an Operational Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank’s operational resilience and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in banking or financial services.
Main Responsibilities:
As an Operational Risk Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Manager/Unit Head Operational Risk in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting operational risks across all business units and functions.
- Conducting bank-wide Risk & Controls self-assessment exercises and coordinating with stakeholders for meetings.
- Reviewing policies and procedures of department/business functions for which Risk & Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) is being conducted.
- Updating the Risk library, including regulatory observations.
- Identifying inherent risks in each process during the RCSA exercise and promoting operational risk awareness/culture across the bank.
- Implementing internal controls and ensuring accountability at each level to mitigate unwarranted risks.
- Ensuring meticulous compliance with bank policies, processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinating Internal & External Audits, SBP Inspections, and reviews by compliance or other regulatory bodies.
- Strict adherence to office discipline and basic work ethics as per HR Policy.
- Undertaking any other duties as required by the bank.
Core Competencies:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Operational Risks, Key Risk Indicators, and risk & control self-assessment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of banking systems, policies, procedures, and products.
