• Position Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

This position involves mechanical design, stress analysis, and compliance verification for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks according to ASME and API standards.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be expected to:

• Perform design, analysis, and stress calculations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and aboveground storage tanks.

• Use software tools like PV Elite, COMPRESS, and AME Tanks for engineering calculations.

• Apply relevant ASME and API codes, including:

  • ASME Section VIII (Div. 1 & Div. 2 – Pressure Vessel Design)

  • ASME Section II (Material Specifications)

  • ASME B16.5 (Pipe Flanges and Fittings)

  • ASME B16.9/B16.11 (Fittings)

  • ASME B31.3 (Process Piping)

  • API 650, API 620, API 653 (Storage Tanks)

  • TEMA (Heat Exchanger Standards)

• Develop fabrication drawings, BOMs, and detailed design reports in line with client requirements.

• Coordinate with procurement, fabrication, and QC teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance.

• Review vendor drawings and technical documents for compliance with project specifications.

• Provide technical support during fabrication, inspection, and installation phases.

• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and client meetings to resolve technical issues.

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of engineering deliverables while maintaining thorough documentation.
