Role Description
As the Manager Purchase, you will be responsible for:
- Procuring all raw materials essential for the production process, ensuring uninterrupted workflow.
- Initiating and processing purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Inducting new vendors and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Monitoring and following up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Collaborating with relevant departments to develop specifications for equipment and products.
- Analyzing market trends and delivery systems to forecast future material availability.
- Obtaining procurement quotations and preparing comparative analyses for management review and approval.
- Overseeing vendor payments and coordinating with finance to ensure timely settlements.
- Improving credit terms and defining credit policies in collaboration with vendors.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A BBA/MBA degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement processes and supply chain management practices.
