Job Title: Manager – Pellet Operations (Biomass)

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager – Pellet Operations (Biomass) to join our team at Utopia. As the Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our biomass production facility, ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality biomass pellets while complying with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of production staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and training as needed.
- Manage the entire biomass production process, from feedstock procurement to final product quality control.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand while optimizing resource utilization.
- Ensure the facility operates in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, and quality control, to drive operational excellence.
- Prepare reports on production metrics, including efficiency, yield, and quality, for management review.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure a consistent supply of feedstock.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Agriculture, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven 8 years of overall experience in biomass or bioenergy production management or a similar field.
- In-depth knowledge of biomass production processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
