Haleeb Foods Limited, a leading food and beverage company, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lead Internal Auditor. As a Lead Internal Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, assessing risks, and conducting audits to improve the company’s overall financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of potential risk within the organization.
- Develop audit programs and procedures to test the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Perform financial, operational, and compliance audits to assess the accuracy and reliability of financial statements and business operations.
- Identify control weaknesses, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and changes in accounting standards.
- Collaborate with management to develop action plans and strategies for risk mitigation.
- Provide guidance and support to junior auditors and assist in their professional development.
- Conduct investigations of suspected fraud or irregularities and assist in the implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
- Foster effective relationships with stakeholders and promote a culture of strong internal controls and ethical practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of internal auditing principles, techniques, and standards.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Prior experience or internships in internal audit or accounting is preferred but not required.
