Job Summary

The Industrial Relations Officer will be responsible for managing employee relations and ensuring that the organization maintains a positive relationship with employees, trade unions, and regulatory bodies. This position is crucial for resolving industrial disputes, promoting workplace harmony, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle Employee Relations: Manage day-to-day interactions between the management and employees, ensuring smooth communication and resolving any conflicts that arise.
  • Implement Labor Laws: Ensure that the company complies with all labor laws and regulations, including those related to wages, working hours, and employee rights.
  • Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve industrial disputes, working closely with unions, employees, and senior management to find fair and legal solutions.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of policies related to employee relations, safety, and welfare.
  • Employee Welfare: Promote initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and welfare, creating a positive work environment.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of employee relations matters, ensuring proper documentation for audits and regulatory purposes.

Requirements:

  • Education: A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in industrial relations, labor laws, or human resources management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of labor laws and industrial relations best practices.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Problem-solving ability and conflict resolution skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and HR-related software.
