Position Overview
As the Department Head Quality Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing a team of Quality Assurance specialists. Based in Lahore, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital banking applications, core banking systems, and other financial and non-financial systems. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining MCB’s reputation for excellence and reliability in the digital banking space.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Quality Assurance specialists, providing guidance, direction, and support in ensuring the quality and reliability of banking applications and systems.
- Quality Assurance Planning and Management: Plan, estimate, and manage Quality Assurance projects, including issue handling, resource management, and controlling project scope. Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to align Quality Assurance goals with business objectives.
- Policy Implementation: Direct and oversee the implementation of policies and procedures for the software quality assurance function, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Evaluate and monitor tools, methodologies, and automation to ensure effective testing and identification of defects. Monitor Quality Assurance activities from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals.
- System Development Lifecycle: Possess exposure to the complete system development and testing lifecycle, including IT project management and change management processes.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience managing core banking and enterprise financial Quality Assurance, with hands-on experience in Financial and Digital Applications.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of effectively leading Quality Assurance teams. Proficiency in IT skills is desirable. Candidates with a diploma from the Institute of Bankers of Pakistan (JAIBP) will be preferred.
