Position Overview

As the General Manager – MIS, you will be responsible for leading the airline’s IT infrastructure, managing critical business systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the airline’s IT systems, including end-user support, security, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership of IT Infrastructure:
  Oversee the management of enterprise IT infrastructure and networks, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of systems.
• Airline Systems Management:
  Manage key airline systems, including Departure Control Systems (DCS) and Passenger Service Systems (PSS), ensuring their continuous operation and efficiency.
• End-User Support:
  Supervise end-user support and ensure IT service management (ITSM) practices are followed, providing timely resolution of issues to ensure a seamless operation.
• IT Security & Compliance:
  Ensure IT security standards are maintained, manage business continuity planning, and guarantee compliance with aviation regulations and industry guidelines, such as IATA, CAA/FAA, and ICAO standards.
• Team Leadership & Project Management:
  Manage cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support to drive successful project completion. Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, providing accurate reporting and audits as needed.

Key Requirements

• Education:
  A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  10-15 years of IT leadership experience, with at least some experience in the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing IT infrastructure and airline systems.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth experience with Enterprise IT Infrastructure and Airline Systems (DCS/PSS).
  • Strong knowledge of IT Security, Business Continuity, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Expertise in IT service management (ITSM) and end-user support.
• Certifications:
  Certifications like ITIL, PMP, Cisco, Microsoft, or AWS are highly desirable.
• Management Skills:
  Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, with strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Industry Knowledge:
  Familiarity with aviation-specific compliance and regulations (e.g., IATA standards, CAA/FAA/ICAO guidelines) is essential.
