Job Description:
As a Fashion/Textile Designer at Cambridge, you will be responsible for bringing creative concepts to life and contributing to the success of our Eastern Wear line. Here’s what the job entails:
- Managing Design Process: From conception to final styling, you will oversee the entire design process, ensuring that each piece reflects our brand’s aesthetic and meets customer expectations.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify contemporary trends, fabrics, and techniques. Seek inspiration from various sources to keep designs fresh and innovative.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the design team to develop mood boards, cuts, and designs for upcoming launches. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive and visually appealing collections.
- Fabric and Trim Selection: Analyze and select suitable fabrics and trims for our Eastern Wear line. Oversee packaging and trim designs for both stitched and unstitched men’s wear.
- Production Coordination: Coordinate with the production team for embellished categories. Create tech-packs of approved designs and liaise with merchandisers to ensure smooth execution.
- Presentation Development: Develop presentations for photo shoots and coordinate the entire shoot process to showcase our designs in the best light.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated on the latest trends in Eastern fashion, textiles, and traditional craftsmanship. Incorporate innovative elements into designs to stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion/Textile Designing.
- Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the fashion retail industry.
- Skills: Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator, creativity, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
