Job Title: Executive Core GPON
Location: Lahore, Pakistan
Job Functions
As an Executive Core GPON, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assuring Work Activities and Network Rollout: Plan and oversee network rollout, NMS deployment, software upgrades, and parameter changes to ensure high-quality service and network availability.
- Troubleshooting: Address hardware and software issues related to OLTS, ONTS, Wi-Fi Routers, and NMS. Engage vendor support as needed and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Proactive Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance activities to prevent incidents and optimize the GPON network continually.
- Corrective Measures: Implement corrective actions based on performance indicator trend analysis to maintain network efficiency.
- Reporting: Ensure timely distribution of periodic GPON statistical and analytical reports.
- 24/7 Availability: Be on-call 24/7 to address any network outages or issues promptly.
Skills and Expertise
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- GPON Technology Expertise: Proficiency in GPON technology with experience in triple play services provisioning (IPTV/Voice/Data).
- Hands-on Experience: Practical experience with Huawei OLTS, ONTS, and U2000/NCE NMS.
- Knowledge of Protocols: Excellent understanding of PIM/IGMP and multicast routing. Familiarity with PPPOE protocol and its network components (AAA, Radius, BRAS).
Education and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Computer, or Electronics).
- Professional Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Preferred Certifications: HCIA-Access, CCNA, JNCA are highly desirable.
