As the Assistant Manager Logistics, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and efficient logistics operations. From managing contracts to developing cost-effective logistics models, this role involves collaboration, strategic planning, and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Local & Outbound Movement: Oversee the transportation of goods, including negotiating rates and managing invoices.
- Fuel Management: Handle fuel usage for vendors and factory operations to ensure cost efficiency.
- Courier Operations: Manage contracts with local courier services, oversee their operations, and process payments.
- Logistics Contracts: Develop, manage, and report on logistics agreements to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Cost-Effective Models: Design and implement efficient logistics models to optimize operations and reduce costs.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors
To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
- Educational Qualification:
- MBA from a reputable university.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in logistics management.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge of Logistics Management tools and SAP Ariba.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills to drive favorable agreements.
- Analytical thinking to optimize logistics processes.
