About the Role: As an Assistant Manager (AM) Compliance at Soorty Enterprises, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to social compliance standards and environmental regulations within our organization. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining compliance processes, conducting audits, and driving initiatives to enhance our environmental sustainability practices. You will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to ethical business practices and corporate social responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain social compliance and environmental sustainability policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any gaps or deficiencies in compliance practices.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters to ensure awareness and understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including management and department heads, to promote a culture of compliance and accountability throughout the organization.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices related to social compliance and environmental sustainability, and incorporate relevant updates into our compliance framework.
- Prepare and submit reports on compliance activities, audit findings, and progress towards compliance goals to management and regulatory authorities as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in compliance management, preferably in the textile industry, with a focus on social compliance and environmental sustainability.
- Expertise in social compliance and environmental regulations, including knowledge of relevant laws, standards, and certifications.
