Job Overview:
The Deputy Manager Accounts will oversee the financial reporting and controlling activities for SECMC, playing a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial statements, regulatory compliance, and efficient management of taxation processes. This position is integral in maintaining the financial health of the organization and ensuring that all tax-related activities are timely and compliant with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Controlling: Oversee the preparation of financial statements and manage general ledger (GL) reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Tariff Filings: Take responsibility for tariff filings and ensuring they align with industry regulations.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audits and ensure timely completion of audit tasks.
- Taxation Management: Manage all aspects of direct and indirect taxation, ensuring compliance with local tax laws, timely filings, and refund processing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to taxation regulations, corporate accounting policies, and industry best practices.
- Financial Planning: Assist in preparing the company’s budget and ensuring financial objectives are met through accurate and efficient accounting practices.
Key Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications and experience:
- Qualification: CA (Chartered Accountant) qualified with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification industry experience.
- Experience: Proven expertise in accounting and taxation, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and financial analysis.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in financial systems and accounting tools. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Location: This position is based at Karachi Head Office.
