Nishat Linen is seeking a talented individual to join us as an Assistant Manager in Fabric Sourcing, based in Lahore. This role involves supporting our outer cover designer team, managing fabric sourcing operations, and ensuring timely completion of orders across the Punjab region.
Job Role:
As an Assistant Manager – Fabric Sourcing, you will play a key role in our operations:
- Support the outer cover designer team in sourcing fabrics tailored to specific needs.
- Manage the entire operational supply (OS) process, both for bulk production and sampling.
- Oversee operations in the complete Punjab region, including Lahore and Faisalabad.
- Negotiate and maintain continuous communication with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Drive cost improvements by enhancing material selection and vendor development.
- Conduct vendor development activities to expand our supplier network.
- Ensure all orders are completed on time according to our Time and Action (TNA) plan.
- Test new fabrics from vendors and report findings to the Sourcing Manager.
- Prepare and present project timelines to senior management.
- Coordinate with senior management on project status, including sampling and bulk production, providing daily progress reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A graduate degree from a reputable institute.
- Strong vendor development and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- 2-3 years of experience in fabric sourcing.
