Position Overview
As the Unit Head of Software Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technological roadmap of MCB Islamic Bank Ltd. Based in Lahore, you will lead a talented team of software developers, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that cater to the evolving needs of our esteemed clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Strategy: Take charge of the software development unit, providing strategic direction and guidance to achieve organizational objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business goals.
- Innovation and Development: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the software development team. Spearhead the creation of robust, scalable, and user-centric software solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Project Management: Drive the end-to-end delivery of software projects, from conceptualization to deployment. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, while mitigating risks and resolving challenges proactively.
- Team Management: Nurture a high-performing team of software developers through mentorship, coaching, and skills development initiatives. Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes creativity, accountability, and mutual respect.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in software development, with a proven track record of leadership and project management.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, development frameworks, and software engineering methodologies. Familiarity with contemporary technologies such as cloud computing, DevOps, and agile practices is highly desirable.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute strategic plans, aligning technology initiatives with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
