Job Role Overview:
As Assistant Manager – Costing, you will play a pivotal role in managing the cost accounting functions within our organization. From analyzing production costs to implementing cost-saving initiatives, your expertise will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency and financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Analysis and Control: Utilize your expertise in accounting and costing methods to analyze production costs, identify variances, and implement cost control measures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost structures and enhance profitability.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing valuable insights into cost drivers and trends. Work closely with senior management to develop strategic plans and initiatives aimed at achieving financial targets.
- Product Costing: Oversee the product costing process, ensuring accuracy and completeness in cost allocation. Evaluate pricing strategies and product margins to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
- ERP System Management: Leverage your hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly Oracle, to streamline costing processes and enhance data accuracy and integrity. Generate reports and dashboards to facilitate decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in cost accounting and reporting. Implement best practices and standards to drive operational excellence and efficiency across the organization.
Requirements:
- Education: ACCA/ACMA/CA (part qualified) with a strong academic background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the denim/apparel industry.
- Skills: Expertise in accounting principles and costing methodologies. Proficiency in ERP systems, especially Oracle, is highly desirable.
