Position Overview

The Senior Assistant Manager will be a guardian of our workplace. Your core mission as Senior Assistant Manager is to develop, implement, and oversee robust Health, Safety, and Environment management systems. 🎯 Your Key Responsibilities: The 5 Pillars of the Role

1. HSE Management System Implementation

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the site-specific HSE management system in line with company policies and international standards.

• Establish and monitor key HSE performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for intervention.

• Lead the preparation for and ensure successful outcomes of all internal and external HSE audits.

2. Risk Assessment and Hazard Control

• Proactively conduct regular risk assessments and job safety analysis for all plant activities.

• Identify potential hazards and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.

• Oversee the application of hierarchy of controls for workplace hazards, from elimination to personal protective equipment (PPE).

3. Regulatory Compliance and Training

• Ensure 100% compliance with all local, national, and corporate HSE regulations and standards.

• Design and deliver engaging and effective HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to instill a culture of safety.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation, including permits, training records, and statutory reports.

4. Incident Investigation and Emergency Preparedness

• Lead thorough investigations of all incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes.

• Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and share lessons learned across the organization.

• Develop and coordinate regular emergency response drills (e.g., fire, chemical spill) to ensure plant readiness.

5. Environmental Management and Sustainability

• Monitor and manage the plant’s environmental aspects, including emissions, dust control, and waste management, to minimize ecological impact.

• Promote and track initiatives for resource conservation, such as water and energy efficiency.

• Contribute to the company’s sustainability goals, aligning with group-level corporate social responsibility philosophy.

Education and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, specifically in Chemical or Mechanical engineering.
