Soneri Bank is hiring for the position of Manager Money Market and Equity Operations to join their Treasury Operations team. This position is based at the PNSC, Karachi. Roles and Responsibilities:

As the Manager Money Market and Equity Operations, your key responsibilities will include:

• Fund Transfer Management: Ensuring all fund transfer requests are processed on the Controller system as per internal circulars related to RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement) payments.
• IPS Settlement: Overseeing the settlement process as per relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Treasury System Operations: Authorizing and verifying Money Market deals in the Treasury system to ensure proper handling and documentation.
• CRR Position Monitoring: Monitoring and updating the Cash Reserve Requirement (CRR) position and ensuring timely updates in SBP (State Bank of Pakistan) balances.
• Documentation Management: Ensuring the completeness of documentation for Money Market deals and their proper filing for future reference.
• Reconciliation: Reconciling CDC/NCCPL billing with the related system and forwarding it to Finance for payment processing.
• Capital Market Transaction Settlement: Settling capital market-related transactions executed by the Front Office as needed.
• Compliance and Legal Adherence: Ensuring that all actions are compliant with applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to the Money Market and Capital Market.
• Internal Communication: Maintaining communication with key regulatory bodies such as SBP, NCCPL, CDC, and internal departments for the settlement of treasury transactions.

Key Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Graduate or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Money Market and Capital Market operations within a banking environment or similar financial institution.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of treasury operations, RTGS, and fund transfers.
  • Ability to manage and reconcile treasury transactions and documentation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance within the Money Market and Capital Market sectors.
  • Familiarity with SBP, NCCPL, and CDC processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
