Role Overview:
As an IT Executive, your role will focus on the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the organization’s LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity across all devices and locations. You will also be responsible for providing technical support to end-users and ensuring that all IT systems and equipment run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Infrastructure Management:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points to ensure stable and efficient connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and resolve problems swiftly to minimize downtime.
- Hardware Installation & Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and peripherals.
- Handle firmware upgrades, perform hardware diagnostics, and replace faulty components as necessary.
- Deploy new hardware and systems, and apply updates and patches to ensure systems are up to date.
- End-User Support & Training:
- Provide in-depth technical support to end-users, assisting with software and hardware-related queries.
- Conduct training sessions to help employees utilize systems efficiently and effectively.
- Network Security:
- Implement network security measures such as VPNs, firewalls, and access control.
- Monitor for security vulnerabilities, perform regular backups, and follow industry best practices to safeguard organizational data.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of network configurations, setups, and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Generate reports on system performance and any issues encountered, ensuring that all IT operations are documented thoroughly.
Key Requirements:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in IT support or networking roles, with a minimum of 2 to 5 years in the field.
- Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
- Skills:
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and IT systems.
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and other network security measures.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, network issues, and offering solutions in a timely manner.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and effective support to team members and end-users.
