About the Executive QA Role
The Executive QA will be responsible for supporting quality assurance activities throughout different stages of manufacturing operations.
The position is not limited to inspecting finished products. The selected candidate will be involved in maintaining quality from the arrival of raw materials through production and final dispatch.
The role also involves regular QA/QC audits, monitoring production information and wastage, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and helping the QA department develop a strong quality culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Across Operations
The Executive QA will monitor manufacturing activities to ensure established quality requirements are being followed.
The candidate will work with the QA and operational teams to identify quality issues and help maintain consistent standards throughout production.
Raw Material Inspection
The position involves inspecting incoming raw materials to ensure they meet required quality specifications before being used in production.
Candidates with previous experience in incoming material inspection, quality checks, sampling, documentation, or handling non-conforming materials should clearly mention this experience in their CV.
Dispatch Quality Control
Quality responsibilities also extend to the dispatch stage.
The Executive QA will help ensure that products being dispatched meet the required quality standards and that relevant quality procedures have been completed.
This means the role provides exposure to quality management across the broader production cycle, from incoming materials to manufacturing and final dispatch.
Conduct Weekly QA/QC Audits
The selected candidate will be required to conduct weekly QA/QC audits.
These audits are used to check whether operations are following established quality procedures and standards. Any deviations or quality concerns identified during an audit may need to be documented and followed up with the relevant department.
Previous experience with quality audits, inspection checklists, non-conformance reporting, corrective actions, and QA/QC documentation can be valuable for this role.
Lead Lean Manufacturing Activities
An important part of the position is involvement in lean manufacturing activities. Master Group specifically mentions:
5S: A workplace organization methodology focused on maintaining an organized, efficient, standardized, and clean working environment.
Kaizen: A continuous improvement approach where employees and teams regularly identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Kanban: A visual workflow and inventory management approach that can help control material movement and improve production efficiency.
Candidates who have practical experience implementing or participating in these activities should highlight it when applying.
Monitor Production Data and Wastage
The Executive QA will also monitor production data and wastage.
Analyzing this information can help the QA and production teams identify recurring defects, process inefficiencies, abnormal wastage, or other areas requiring improvement.
Candidates should therefore be comfortable working with production records, quality data, reports, and basic operational analysis.
Support a Strong Quality Culture
Master Group also expects the Executive QA to support the wider QA team in building a strong quality culture.
This involves encouraging employees and operational teams to treat quality as part of everyday production rather than relying only on final inspections.
Good communication and coordination skills can therefore be important alongside technical QA/QC knowledge.
Qualification Requirements
Candidates should have either:
Graduation
or
DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineering)
The advertisement does not specify a mandatory field of study. Applicants with education relevant to manufacturing, engineering, industrial operations, production, or quality assurance can highlight that relevance in their application.
Experience Requirements
Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience could include work involving:
- Quality Assurance (QA)
- Quality Control (QC)
- Manufacturing quality
- Raw material inspection
- Production inspection
- Finished goods inspection
- QA/QC audits
- Production monitoring
- Lean manufacturing

Skills to Highlight on Your CV
Applicants should consider highlighting practical experience with QA/QC procedures, quality inspections, raw material inspection, production monitoring, quality audits, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, wastage reduction, quality documentation, corrective actions, process improvement, and dispatch quality control.
If you have helped reduce rejection rates, production wastage, customer complaints, or quality defects in a previous position, mentioning measurable results can make that experience easier for recruiters to assess.
