  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Industrial or Chemical Engineering

Experience:

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in a large manufacturing industry

Role: As a Deputy Manager Sustainability at Sapphire Fibres Limited, you will play a vital role in our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Energy & Water Projects Follow-ups: You will oversee and follow up on energy and water-related projects to ensure their successful implementation.
  2. Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly monitor and report on energy and water consumption within the organization, identifying areas for improvement.
  3. Liaison with Buyer Commitments: Collaborate with buyers to meet sustainability commitments and requirements.
  4. Coordination with Plant Teams: Work closely with plant teams to implement Higg FEM (Facility Environmental Module) and ensure a clean supply chain, especially regarding chemicals.
  5. ZDHC Compliance: Ensure compliance with Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) standards, including Restricted Substances List (RSL), Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL), and provide necessary training.
  6. Effluent Monitoring: Oversee the monitoring of effluents and conduct necessary testing to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  7. Liaison with HR & Admin Teams: Collaborate with HR and Admin teams to ensure social compliances are met throughout the organization.
  8. Implementation of EMS (Environmental Management System): Lead the implementation of the EMS across Sapphire Fibres Limited to drive environmental sustainability and responsible practices.
