📌 About the Role

The Deputy Manager R&D will play a key leadership role in developing, improving, and innovating food products. The position focuses on farm-based product categories such as fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and spices, along with value-added products like sauces and spreads.

You’ll be responsible for managing the R&D lab, guiding product development from concept to commercialization, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead the R&D team in developing and improving products including fruits, vegetables, mushroom canning, recipes, and spices
• Create and standardize formulations for products like jams, marmalades, preserves, ketchups, mayonnaise, and sauces
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Food Safety, and Halal standards
• Collaborate with procurement and production teams to optimize ingredient selection and reduce costs
• Conduct shelf-life studies, sensory evaluations, and nutritional analysis of products
• Manage scaling-up processes from laboratory level to pilot plant and full commercial production
• Maintain proper documentation including formulations, SOPs, and technical data
• Analyze market trends and competitor products to drive continuous innovation

🎓 Education & Experience Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Education: M.Sc. (Hons) in Food Science & Technology or Chemistry
• Experience: 6–8 years of relevant experience in food product development or R&D
