**Job Overview**
Indus Cloud is seeking a highly experienced **Chief Operations Officer (COO)** to oversee and optimize large-scale **data center operations, financial performance, and strategic growth**. The ideal candidate will ensure **99.99% uptime**, drive cost efficiencies, and align operations with industry-leading **sustainability and compliance benchmarks**.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Operational Excellence & Reliability**
– Ensure **Tier IV data center availability (99.99% uptime)**.
– Implement **predictive maintenance** strategies for critical infrastructure (power, cooling, networking).
– Oversee **multi-site data center operations** (≥100,000 sq. ft.).

**2. Financial & Resource Optimization**
– Manage **CAPEX/OPEX budgets exceeding $100M**.
– Optimize operational costs to achieve **industry-leading PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) below 1.2**.
– Improve **resource utilization** while maintaining scalability.

**3. Risk & Security Management**
– Lead **business continuity and disaster recovery (DR) planning**.
– Ensure compliance with **physical and cybersecurity policies** in coordination with the CISO.
– Mitigate operational risks through proactive monitoring and audits.

**4. Strategic Leadership & Execution**
– Collaborate with **Sales & CTO** to align **capacity planning** with business growth.
– Monitor and enhance **Service Level Agreements (SLAs)** for superior client satisfaction.
– Drive **innovation in energy-efficient operations** (prior patents or publications a plus).

**Qualifications & Skills**

**Education & Certifications**
– **Master’s degree** in **Engineering, Operations Management, or MBA**.
– **Certifications:**
– **ITIL Expert** (IT Service Management)
– **PMP** (Project Management Professional)
– **CDCP** (Certified Data Center Professional)

**Experience**
– **12+ years** in **hyperscale or enterprise data center operations**.
– Proven track record in managing **facilities ≥100,000 sq. ft.**
– Experience scaling **multi-site infrastructure with revenue exceeding $200M**.
– **Published research or patents in energy-efficient operations (preferred)**.
